At my kids school, they did a 5K and 1 Mile walk/run.  Since I am trying to recover from some tendonitis, Josh ran with the kids.  They did a 1 mile run and ran the whole thing!  So proud of my babies!!

Recycle Fun Run - Our First Race Together

On April 20th, Josh and I ran our first race together: the Recycle Fun Run.  It was also my first race ever.  It was chilly and rainy, but SO much fun!

Josh's dad also ran with us.  He beat both of us by a long shot, but hey- it was a FUN run!  :)

The Recycle run is fun because they give out shirts and medals leftover from old races throughout the county.  Josh and I both got shirts from the Layton Thanksgiving half marathon.  Josh's medal was from a Layton Triathalon, and mine was from the same Thanksgiving race.

I finished the 3.17 course in 31:42 with an average pace of 9:59/min/mile.  A PR  thus far!

Can't wait for more races with my babe!

Becky's Couch to 5K in 8 weeks (in one LONG post)

Week 8, Day 3 

Today would have been my first 5K run, but I have now run it 4 times! Woot, woot! I ran this morning, and it was harder than the last few times. But I pushed through and finished. My average pace was 10:25, a little slower than my last solo run, but that's okay. Today, Josh is registering us for my first race, which is a week from tomorrow. I am so excited! Also, yesterday I registered for the Ogden 5K in May. Can't wait! LOVE running!!!
